Country singing sensation Carrie Underwood is set to launch the release of her new album ‘Play On’ in the big apple this week.
Underwood will kick off her promotional tour with a performance on CBS’s The Late Show with David Letterman on Monday Nov 2. The following morning on the album’s release date, Underwood will be up bright and early to perform a special concert at Lincoln Center on ABC’s Good Morning America.
Underwood will wrap up her New York trip with a visit to Live with Regis and Kelly on Nov 5.
‘Play On’ is Underwood’s third release, and if it is set to follow in the footsteps of her first two records; it will be another smash success for the 26-year-old Oklahoma native. Her first two albums have sold over 10 million copies nationwide and won Underwood numerous top honors, including four Grammy awards.
‘Play On’ has not even been released yet, and it is already earning Underwood honors; its’ first single, “Cowboy Casanova” is country radio’s fastest-rising hit of the year. The song had first-week sales of over 110,000 digital copies.
