Oklahomans Carrie Underwood (raised in Checotah), Vince Gill (raised in Oklahoma City) and Miranda Lambert (lives in Tishomingo) are among the country stars participating in a special fundraiser for the Grand Ole Opry.
Fans attending tonight’s Opry shows will get a sneak peek at some specially designed guitars the stars have decorated, according to the Associated Press.
The Epiphone acoustic guitars were decorated by some of country music’s biggest stars with song lyrics, hand-drawn sketches and more. Other stars participating include Dierks Bentley, Dolly Parton, Charlie Daniels and Pam Tillis.
The guitars will be auctioned Friday at the Ryman Auditorium to benefit the Opry Trust Fund, which helps people in the country music industry who fall on hard times. The guitars are on display in the house lobby until the auction.
