UNDATED (AP) — Carrie Underwood loves when unexpected things happen during her concerts on tour.

She tells The Tennessean that she usually gets the same reaction to songs, like “Before He Cheats,” that she’s sung a million times before. But she says “it’s really cool” when the crowd keeps clapping or they sing really loud on one of her smaller songs.

During one show, Underwood was singing “Just a Dream,” about a woman who loses her husband-to-be in war, and a woman held up a poster that said, “Our Dream Ended.” It had a date and a photo of a soldier on it.

Underwood says she couldn’t finish the song. She had to turn around and try not to cry.
