CARRIE Underwood insists being apart from her fiance Mike Fisher doesn’t harm their relationship.
The American Idol alum — who announced her engagement to the NHL player just before Christmas — admits she and Fisher are usually in different countries due to their hectic work schedules.
But Carrie is adamant she and Mike will make their romance work.
“Leave it to me to pick someone in another country to date — and marry!” Carrie told People magazine.
“But if it’s worth it, you make it work, right?”
Carrie said that after she and Mike get wed, they’ll “be little nomads for a while, until one of us retires”.
“Not being in the same room won’t lessen our relationship,” she said. “We completely have faith in each other.”
“We make the best of our time when we are together,” Fisher added.
Carrie recently admitted she’s glad she’s getting married because she doesn’t want to grow old alone.
“I didn’t want to be one of those people who has an amazing career but ends up alone and unhappy,” she told the March issue of Cosmopolitan magazine.
“I want to be happy. I want it all.”
