2012 looks like it’s going to be the year of Carrie Underwood! Since making her mark in the high stakes world of American Idol where she rose to the top of a field of over 100,000 performers who auditioned for the fourth season and sang her way past 24 contestants to the exciting final where she edged Bo Brice for the crown, Carrie Underwood has proven her talent time and time again. Underwood went on to win five Grammys, three Academy of Country Music and Country Music Association Best Female Vocalist awards and was the first female artist to be named the Academy of Country Music’s prestigious Entertainer of the Year two years in a row! She was inducted into the Grand Ole Opry at the tender age of 25 and is often cited as the most successful of a very competitive bunch of former Idol champions.

While fellow Idol winner Scotty McCreery is appearing on 2012 Brad Paisley tour dates, Underwood has been invited to headline the CMA Music Festival in Nashville, Tennessee, the Stagecoach Festival in Indio, California, and the Bayou Country Superfest in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Having placed in Rolling Stone’s 2011 Queen of Pop competition as the only other country singer besides the hybrid country/pop star Taylor Swift (unless you count Miley Cyrus), in only a few short years, Underwood has stormed the industry and is set to have the kind of career longevity reserved for such country legends as Dolly Parton and Reba McEntire. With recent duets alongside Tony Bennett, Stevie Wonder and a headlining spot at the iHeart Music Festival alongside Jay Z and Lady GaGa, 2012 might be the year Carrie Underwood crosses over. Look out!

It’s time for us all to get interested in computer games, as Carrie Underwood is going to make her digital debut, appearing in a new release for the Nintendo Wii. Our favourite country singer is going to feature in Country Dance 2, along with the likes of Blake Shelton, George Strait, Miranda Lambert and Montgomery Gentry.

There’s no word yet as to whether the star will be making a personal appearance, but she has definitely licensed her hit “All American Girl” for the game. This throws us into a bit of a dilemma. If Carrie was to turn up in a game what should she wear? We know all the boys out there are voting for bikinis, but this being the digital age we reckon Carrie should buy some Joe Browns dresses online (I guess if they’re in the game she’d have to get some virtual ones) to match her stylish yet casual look.

However Carrie features in the game we’re all sure to be winners.

Carrie is the new hottie in country and western music, thanks to her showing on American Idol. Her sultry sounds match the stunning dress sense she has been styling since making it to the big time and we love her for it!
One of the things that is setting her apart from the rest of the American Idol clan is her totally down to earth stylings, and we wonder if she is checking out the adidas originals online shop in her downtime, as she’s been spotted wearing quite a few items of footwear from the iconic European brand.

On top of that, she might well have bought some bench online as she was spotted with a cute pair of jeans and a really hot 2011 couple of diesel watches during recent trips to the mall!
